VRR Quality & Food Safety Quiz 2026

At the end of 2025, as part of the preparations for Van Rees Rotterdam’s IFS Broker certification, we held a joint training session on quality and food safety. Since then, these topics have come up in various meetings and processes, and we have continued to learn through our day-to-day work, from supplier assessments and approval to registering and handling complaints.
How is our 'food safety awareness'?
It is time to check in again and see where we stand as a team. To do that, here is a quiz with 15 multiple-choice questions, each with one correct answer (and 2 almost correct answers, to make it a bit challenging!). The aim is to pause, reflect and think consciously about how we should act when it comes to the food safety of the products we buy and sell.
Quiz with 15 questions (cheating is allowed!)
Please work through the questions and, before looking anything up, consider which answer you would give based on what you remember. If you are unsure, it is perfectly fine to consult last year’s presentation, look up the information in the relevant documents or systems, or discuss the question with your colleagues. After all, discussing questions and learning together is one of the best ways to strengthen our shared food safety culture.
Not everyone works in the same role or encounters all these situations in their daily work. However, it is important that everyone understands the basic principles of quality and food safety and can recognise the right course of action. For some questions, you may therefore need to put yourself in a colleague’s shoes and consider what the right decision would be in their situation.
Follow up
The quiz is not anonymous, as we need to be able to see who has and has not responded. Individual results will only be reviewed by the Quality Team and will not be shared openly within the team. If the answers show that a particular topic needs more attention, we will come back to it together. You will, of course, receive your submission after completing it, and we'll share your own score once all team members have completed the quiz.
