From 12 August 2026, the European Union's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) introduces new requirements for packaging placed on the EU market. As an importer and supplier of food products within the European Union, Van Rees B.V. is required to exercise due diligence and maintain evidence that the packaging used for products supplied to our customers complies with the applicable legal requirements.
To meet these obligations, we kindly request information regarding the packaging materials used for the products you supply to Van Rees, together with any available supporting documentation. The information provided will help us demonstrate compliance throughout the supply chain and respond to customer and regulatory requests where necessary.
We appreciate that, due to the implementation of this new legislation, some documentation may still be in the process of being collected from packaging manufacturers or other upstream parties. Where complete documentation is not yet available, we kindly ask you to provide the information currently available and indicate any outstanding items in the questionnaire.
